Annual Club Membership
Payable by end of October each year
Student (NUS): £20.00
Juniors (4-17 years): £20.00
Adult: £40.00
Guest training fees will be charged from November if existing members do not renew by the end of October. New members joining part way through a membership period will be charged pro rata.
New Members - will pay guest training rates and will be expected to make a decision whether to join after attending four sessions. Upon payment of membership, members training fees will be charged.
Membership and Insurance

KUGB Licence
A KUGB licence is required if you are to grade within the club, it also has many other benefits which are explained on the KUGB page
This also allows students to participate in KUGB organised events and tournaments.
University Membership
The University of Brighton requires everyone to have a Sports Federation Card (SAC card) to train on university premises which provides insurance, these can be purchased from the university for £10/year (student) £30/year (non-students). You only need one card for all the activities you are participating in. If you are also participating in a sport which competes in BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) tournaments this price may be higher.

Class Fees
We offer the following options for payment of classes:
Student (NUS): £3.00
Student (NUS) One Month (Standing Order): £20.00
Academic Year Pass (October-June): £120.00*
All Inclusive Academic Year Package* (October-June): £220.00 (Training two sessions per week, KUGB licence, Sports Federation Card, Club Membership, GI and Club Hoody)
* Club Members Only, Training both Mondays and Fridays, available only at the start of academic year
Juniors (4-17 Years): £4.50
Juniors (4-17 Years) One Month: £20.00
Adult: £5.50
Adult One Month (Standing Order): £40.00

Gradings
Only full members of the club will be allowed to grade. KUGB rules state that you must train a minimum of twice a week for three months between gradings in order to be eligible to grade. However, whilst you may be eligible to grade, you must also meet internal club requirements in order to be put forward for grading. The final decision will rest with Sensei Cunningham and his team of instructors.
What else do you need?

GI ('Karate Suit') - Basic lightweight GI's can be bought from the club, includes a white belt - £15
Mitts (Hand Protectors) - Required if you are entering tournaments, used in class also, best to buy from kamae as they are KUGB tournament approved. (Optional)
Groin Guard / Chest Guards / Mouth Guard - Essential for entering kumite competitions. (Optional)
